Dr. David Gudgel
Born and raised in California, Dr. Dave Gudgel has called Fresno, Sacramento, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, Agoura Hills, Phoenix, and now Sunnyvale “home.” Pastor Dave earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 1975 at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. He received a Master of Divinity degree in Practical Theology in 1980 from Talbot Theological Seminary and a Doctorate in Preaching at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, in 1988. Dave has served as the Lead Pastor of Bridges Community Church in Los Altos, CA since January 2010. Prior to Bridges, Dave was the Senior Pastor of Agoura Bible Fellowship, a church in the northwest Los Angeles area, for twenty-one years and then the Senior Pastor of Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix, AZ for seven years. Since 1986 Dave has been on the faculty of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries and has taught over 150 seminars for them. Dave has written three books titled: Owner’s Guide to Using Your Bible, Before You Live Together, and Before You Get Engaged. Dave loves to play golf and to travel. He and his wife Bernice have three children, two daughter-in-laws, and two adorable grandsons.




Brent Gudgel

Brent is a Los Angeles based documentary filmmaker. He directed the feature film Dear Francis (Showtime television) and the Deidox film series. He has directed productions in over 20 countries including Vietnam, Thailand, China, Tibet, Uzbekistan, Tanzania, Indonesia, and the Czech Republic. Brent graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in Communication Studies. For two years Brent worked at Lake Avenue Church with their high school group and their young adult service. He also served on staff with Young Life in Claremont, CA. He currently lives in Pasadena, with his lovely wife, where they are actively involved in a home church.
